Agreement to Terms

By installing and using Private Hub (the "Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Extension.

Your business is your business. We're here to keep it private.

1. Service Description

What we provide

Private Hub is a Chrome browser extension that routes your web traffic through the Tor network for enhanced privacy and anonymity.

Core features:

  • One-click Tor proxy connection
  • Quota-based usage system (time-limited sessions)
  • Anonymous sessions (no account required)
  • Optional account creation (recovery hash or email)
  • Transparency dashboard showing all stored data
  • Data export and account deletion
  • Multiple pricing tiers (free, refill, annual, lifetime)

What we don't do:

  • We do not guarantee 100% anonymity (Tor has known limitations)
  • We do not monitor or log your browsing activity
  • We do not control Tor network performance or availability

2. Account Types and Authentication

Anonymous sessions (no account)

You can use Private Hub without creating an account. Anonymous sessions provide a 5-minute cumulative trial with no data collection and no server-side record. Session credentials are stored in Redis with a fixed TTL and automatically expire.

Recovery hash account (no personal information)

You can create an account using a randomly generated 16-character recovery key. We store only an HMAC-SHA256 hash of this key -- we cannot reverse it.

Your responsibility:

  • Save your recovery key securely -- if you lose it, we cannot recover your account
  • You are responsible for all activity from your authenticated account
  • If you believe your recovery key is compromised, delete your account immediately

Email account

You can create an account with your email address. Email accounts support:

  • Login via one-time password (OTP) sent to your email
  • Optional password for direct login
  • Account recovery via email

Your responsibility:

  • Keep your email account secure
  • If your email is compromised, contact us at security@privatehub.app

Adding email to a hash account

Hash account holders can optionally add an email address for account recovery. This does not change your authentication method -- your recovery key remains your primary credential.

3. Quota System and Usage

Anonymous (no account)

Quota: 5 minutes cumulative (one-time trial)

No account required. No data collected.

Free account

Quota: 8 minutes per day

Reset: Daily at midnight in your timezone

Cost: Free

Paid tiers

Refill ($0.99)

  • Add time to your balance (one-time purchase)
  • Never expires
  • Stack unlimited refills

Annual ($49/year)

  • Generous daily quota
  • Auto-renews yearly until cancelled

Lifetime ($199)

  • Unlimited minutes forever
  • One-time payment

4. Payment Terms

Payment processing

All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details. Your bank statement shows "MUSUBI DIGITAL".

Refund policy

Timeframe: 7 days from purchase date.

Eligible:

  • Unused quota (no sessions started after purchase)
  • Technical issues preventing service use
  • Accidental duplicate purchases

Non-refundable:

  • Partially used quota
  • Annual plan cancellations after 7 days
  • Lifetime plan purchases after 7 days

How to request: Email support@privatehub.app with your order details and reason.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

Permitted uses

  • Privacy-conscious web browsing
  • Accessing blocked or censored content
  • Research and journalism
  • Personal privacy protection

Prohibited uses

You may not use Private Hub for:

  • Illegal activities (hacking, fraud, identity theft)
  • Distribution of malware or viruses
  • Child exploitation material (CSAM)
  • Harassment, threats, or cyberbullying
  • Automated bots or scrapers
  • DDoS attacks or network disruption
  • Circumventing quota limits via fraud

Consequences:

  • Immediate account termination
  • Forfeiture of all paid quota
  • Legal action if required by law

6. Service Availability

Uptime

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Performance

  • Tor routing is inherently slower than direct connections
  • Speeds vary based on circuit path and exit node load
  • We do not guarantee specific bandwidth or latency

Compatibility

Supported browsers:

  • Google Chrome (latest 2 versions)
  • Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based)
  • Brave (may conflict with built-in Tor)

7. Privacy and Data

Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on data collection and use.

Key commitments:

  • We do not track your browsing history, URLs, or DNS queries
  • We do not store your IP address
  • We do track quota usage and session duration (visible in your dashboard)

Transparency dashboard: You can view every piece of data we store about you at privatehub.app/myaccount. You can export all data as JSON and delete your account entirely from the dashboard.

8. Account Termination

By you

You may stop using Private Hub at any time by:

  • Uninstalling the extension
  • Deleting your account from the transparency dashboard
  • Requesting deletion by emailing privacy@privatehub.app

Account deletion removes all associated data from our systems.

By us

We may terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Abuse or disrupt the service

Upon termination by us, all quota is forfeited (no refunds).

9. Intellectual Property

Private Hub, including its code, design, and documentation, is the property of Musubi Digital. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Extension without written permission.

The Tor network is operated by The Tor Project, Inc. and is not affiliated with Private Hub.

10. Disclaimers

Private Hub is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not warrant:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Complete anonymity or privacy
  • Compatibility with all websites
  • Protection from all surveillance or tracking

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Musubi Digital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect new features, pricing changes, or legal requirements.

Notification:

  • Major changes: Email notice to accounts with email + 30-day notice
  • Minor changes: Updated "Last Updated" date

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Private Hub shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
